A project can be close—and still need an accountable finish.
AI can get a project surprisingly far. Sometimes the right next step is a person who can understand the current state, repair what is blocking progress and take responsibility for the path to production.
When fix or finish is the right category
- An unfinished Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor or other AI-assisted project.
- Authentication, payments, backend, database or deployment work that is blocking progress.
- Persistent bugs, fragile integrations or a prototype that needs a production-minded handover.
- A codebase that needs diagnosis before a full rebuild is justified.
Make the starting point clear
In the Project Brief, explain what works, what is blocked, what access or context can be shared later, and what ‘finished’ means for your team. The useful outcome may be a working release, a stabilized system or a clear recovery path.
Useful proof
Look for examples of debugging, migrations, integrations, production releases or taking an existing product forward. A public repository or a particular hosting provider is not required for an Operator’s Proof of Work.
